On May 28th, in just over a weeks time, female-kind will breathe a sigh of relief. Kylie Minogue will join a special club that all women eventually become exclusive members of.
Most of us love the sweet little pop poppet; whether you like her music or not you have to admit that she has carried her own brand of cuteness well over the years - never growing above that 5 foot 2 inch mark and wearing those shiny little hot pants when other women her age were smearing their thighs with cellulite creme and rubbing industrial strength potions onto their stretch marks.
No Kylie has remained the eternal teeny girl throughout the past two decades and abit. Like I said, you may not like her style of music but you have to admit she has always looked great and especially now that she has kicked that cancer to the kerb she looks even better. Call me catty but she is just a wee bit more filled out than she used to be…and she looks all the better for it.
But all those women who watched and admired Kylie over the years, fruitlessly scrutinising each picture of her for just one tiny line or wrinkle - or even the slightest hint of cellulite on those immaculate thighs - all those women will, on the 28th May, take a very deep breath and feel their bond with Kylie has become complete.
Because on May 28th Kylie Minogue turns 40.
Come on Kylie, show us one little dimple and the sisterhood will love you forever!
