Just recently I have been looking at a host of other blogs that feature paid posts and one thing stood out very clearly, and that is some bloggers really need to lift their game as regards to spelling, punctuation and grammar. Oh, and some thought to real content would be an idea too; content with some actual meaning!
Just now I have been reading some articles on a site that was the featured blog of the day on another site; I honestly do not know how she gets away with it as her most badly written entries were actually the paid one’s. No punctuation, and when it was used it was wrongly placed; terrible spelling and no idea about the use of capitol letters. Also, how often can one get away with writing ‘this is a great site to visit‘ in one paragraph and expect to be paid for such poor content?…quite often it seems.
We all can use a spell check; it is a facility on all computers so, darn it, use it!
One thing that rattles me is the terms and conditions that require a paid post to feature correct spelling and grammar and how many people are incapable of producing such. I can only assume the advertisers are not all that fussy, and they should be.
