Has justice been served for baby Peter Connolly? in my opinion no it has not, but as far as British law allows Judge Stephen Kramer QC has seen to it that these three monsters will not be enjoying their freedom for a long time to come.
Tracey Connolly will serve a minimum of five years in Holloway Prison, Stephen Barker is banged up for ‘life’ – meaning he will not see the light of day for at least ten years plus 12 years for raping Peter’s sister. Jason Barker (Owen) has received a three year term for his part in the vile torture of the baby. Appeals are currently in place regarding the sentencing for Stephen Barker’s sexual abuse of the little girl – some lawyers never know when to stop.
I am sure that had Judge Kramer the facility for handing down larger sentences he would have been much harsher on these three for I doubt anyone would have protested. In this regard it is clear that ‘the law’ as it stands in the United Kingdom needs reform because I see these sentences as totally inadequate compared to the appalling crimes they committed against a defenceless child. Such a crime should be viewed as being the worst possible and should carry the appropriate punishment – mandatory life in prison - ’for the term of their natural lives’. It seems an abomination that a legal system, once so effective in punishing heinous crimes across the centuries, has become more and more lax at a time when crimes against innocent people, and especially children, have become so commonplace and violent. We need punishments which fit the crime.
I am glad that Judge Kramer revealed what must have been silent fury at these three individuals; he acknowledged Tracey Connolly’s evil intentions to conceal her child’s suffering from those who could have saved him. He acknowledged that she went out of her way to hide his injuries on many occasions, that she sought to prolong Peter’s agonies instead of seeking help to stop them. In short, Tracey Connolly deliberately steered her son on a course towards death only pausing to add more pain and fear to each lonely, horrifying day of his short life. I hope Judge Kramer did the only thing that should be done with that pathetic insulting begging letter of hers – tore it up and threw it in the bin…though back in her face would have been more apt.
This child was failed by every single adult who ever came into contact with him even though every single one of them had the ability to save his life. Three of them have been sentenced and jailed – now it is time to deal properly with those social workers, police and doctors who thought more about enforcing protocol than preventing suffering, otherwise that dear little boy will simply be lying dead, but politically correct, in his grave.
Angry protests marred G20 – why not the same anger for abused children?
I want to congratulate those women who stood outside the Central Criminal Court today and raised their voices in anger about baby Peter and other abused children. Had I easier access to London I would have been front and centre with them – the numbers of them there should have been not dozens or hundreds, but thousands.
Where is the anger that drove thousands of protesters to invade the streets of London just a few weeks ago over something as pointless as the bloody climate, or as futile as the global economy? where are their priorities, where is their so-called anger now…? I will tell you – neatly and conveniently packed away until the next mass photo opportunity comes along. No such anger or mass protests for a violated and tortured baby boy though, no placards, no marches – nothing.
Because child abuse is not a priority. What a travesty it is that everything else matters more than children.

I am so glad that someone has finally revealed the name of the monsters who murdered little Peter. I can’t believe the light sentence they get in England, but justice will play out one way or another.
There is still reporting restrictions in place until August but I thought ‘to hell with it’ – there are to be appeals by the Attorney General against their leniant sentences, hopefully they will be changed to much harsher ones. The current sentences are a complete joke, how on earth are they possibly being punished for what they did?
why were they not given more time??? is that how yall do it in London??? wow thats wild my heart goes out to Baby Peter!!!! i read this story the other day for the first time and as i rocked my 1 year old to sleep Peter is all i could think of and just cry and cry poor poor baby.
I can’t believe that is all they got. Is that all a child’s life is worth. They should make these monsters go through every painful moment Peter had to go through.
Wendy. thank you very much for leading me to his page. I have to say i am so glad that bastard got life in jail and she should of got long then 5 years. I can now feel some relief in my mind and heart for the sweet wee baby boy (peter) in heaven you are out of there reach now they can not hurt you any more and you will R.I.P now for ever. I will all way be thinking of you and how happy you will be now you are in a place fulled of love.
Those are lovely sentiments Sharon – I sure do hope that Peter knows how much he is loved by so many people. I think he does…
