The Bloggers Engine Room

I have been blogging for just over a year now and was roped into it by my partner; I was always complaining about the amount of time he spent on the computer despite the fact that it is responsible for a fair chunk of our income.  And it has become a good money spinner because he knows what he’s at.

As I said, I have moved out of the newbie blogger stage by now and in the past year have written more words than I have done in previous years – I thought if you can’t beat ‘em then join ‘em, and I’m glad I did. One thing though was at the start I had no idea about computer-speak and had to learn the language that exists online. My partner helped me out there but if you are a virgin blogger or looking for marketing ideas for your blog it would be a good idea to check out a site where experts can tell you what to do.

GeneralMarketingBlog.com has an easy to follow format which does not go too heavy on tech terms; one article I found very interesting was How Many Blogging Terms do you know? - this is one area where a blogging virgin could really do with some education and I found some terms there which I had never heard of.

They also present a series called Bum Marketing (love that term) and can advise you on SEO optimization (another blogging term you need to be familiar with).  Other areas dealt with are viral marketing and adsense issues – pay Dennis and the guys a visit and they are happy to discuss any questions or ideas you might have.
