Shannon Matthews – found!

Now that the nine year old English child, Shannon Matthews, has been found alive and – we hope – well, after being missing for three weeks maybe this will be a wakeup call to her mother. And many other women like her.

Mum, aged 32, has seven kids by five men; those same kids all claim that ‘Mum’s current boyfriend, aged 22, has beaten them and abused them in their mother’s absence. Young Shannon was known to have said many times that she wanted to go and live with her ‘real’ Dad. Shannon’s maternal Grandparents are supporting their grandchildren’s claims and want something done about the, allegedly (we have to say this for legal reasons I suppose), violent and abusive male their mother has brought to live with them in their home.

Shannon, so far, has been placed under an ‘emergency police protection order’ and will not be allowed any contact with her mother until police have sorted this whole sorry situation out. Shannon, by the way, was found being held captive by the uncle of her mother’s live-in boyfriend, Craig Meehan. By the way, her Mum says that boyfriend Craig loves to play ‘tickling games’ with young Shannon…excuse me but this kind of behaviour just is not appropriate between a girl of nearly ten years of age and a twenty two year old man. My own father stopped ‘tickling’ me when I turned four!

I hope something is done for this little girl. She is obviously scared, as are her young siblings. I would like to see mother and daughter re-united, but under one condition…

note to mother Karen Matthews…Listen to those around you, open your eyes to reality and dump your brute of a ‘boyfriend’ and concentrate on your kids for a change woman!!

Seven kids by five men…!!! Here’s some advice Karen in two words – ‘legs’ and ‘crossed’ for the future.

See how those in this poor child’s neighbourhood celebrated her return to safety. Note the proliferance of alcohol…but I understand they are good people.
