British parents have hit the panic buttons…the shops have run out of Nintendo Wii’s!! Oh dear, poor little kiddies will be so disappointed on Xmas morning this year. It seems the Nintendo Wii is now the most sought after gift for Xmas and the shops have run out of stock, and did so some time ago. Obviously for some this is the worst thing to have hit since the ‘Cabbage Patch Doll’ incident years back.

I remember that well; those ugly little dolls with the weird names that came with a birth certificate. When you bought one you had to swear an oath in the shop to the shop assistant that you would care for the thing all your life. What a sales pitch that was!. And I remember the behaviour of grown women on the first day that the dolls hit the shelves - sheer primitive savagery. One woman was reported to have fainted when she was told all stocks were sold out…how to break the news to little Jenny-must-have!.

Back to the Wii thing. Parents are so desperate to fulfil their kids need for one of these £500 machines that they are even resorting to Ebay, where they are paying even bigger prices. But what of those who fail their task?. The chorus of cries from all todays little Johnny and Jenny-must-haves will be loud and clear on Xmas Day…

Santa forgot the Wii !!!
