I cannot boast of owning alot of jewelry despite the number of hints I drop each birthday and Christmas but what lovely pieces I do own are unusual and quite individual in style. I reckon if you are going treat yourself to something like that it is always that much nicer to get something different that you wont see loads of other women wearing.

I especially like to go for handcrafted designer jewelry; this way you can sometimes even have a hand in designing your own piece and also be assured that your ring/bracelet, or whatever, is one of a kind.

More couples are doing this nowadays; rather than choosing an engagement or wedding ring from a display case in a store they are opting to design their own, or purchase from an artisan who designs their own unique range. It just makes things that little bit more special.
