Memorial Service to be held for baby Peter Connelly.

The 3rd of August recently marked the 3rd anniversary of the tragic and horrific death of 17 month old baby Peter Connelly. It is very sad to think that this beautiful little boy would be almost ready to go to school today – had he lived, had he been blessed with loving parents and a safe home to live and play in.

Sadly he was not that lucky. Peter will always be remembered here and there are many, many people who leave kind and loving comments almost everyday – the story of Peter Connelly is one that will continue to disturb and touch caring people all over the world for a long time to come.

A memorial service is to be held tomorrow, the 19th August, in Belfast to remember a little boy who might have only spent 17 months on this earth but has left a mark on the conscience of society that will possibly last a lifetime. Phillip Jackson has kindly organised the service and everyone is more than welcome to attend. The details are as follows:

Date: Thursday 19th August

Venue: St Mary’s Church, Chapel Lane, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Time: 09.00 – 10.00

All are welcome to attend.

  1. I have just read about this memorial service and I am sorry to have missed it ,I do hope it was well attended . Does anyone have any reports about it ?

    • Not as yet Helen; up until three days prior I had planned to set aside some time to attend (I had notified the local and community newspapers) and then my son, who is asthmatic at the moment, started to have a pretty rough time of it as it is both cool and windy here. No sleep for two nights and I was at the doctors with him at the time of the service…not a way for an 8 year old to spend his birthday either. I hope the local media made report of the time and date.

Robert, I know exactly how you feel, since I read Peter’s story, I cannot stop crying and I don’t know if it will ever end. If the suggestions of journalists wrt the deliberate actions of the social workers are true, they should also be charged with murder as they sacrificed a beautiful innocent young child to get the attention of government. What is actually very frightening is the fact that the monsters who abused, tortured and murdered Peter is getting out soon, showing no remorse or guilt. How can the law also fail Peter so miserably? What was his life worth in the eyes of the law, 12 comfortable years in prison for the stepdad and 3-5 for useless mother.

If justice is not served on earth I believe God will get them.

This is the saddest thing I have ever heard of!!!!!

  3. I love you so much lil’ Peter.
    U have changed my life.
I love You & wish to see you in Heaven

    Rest in Peace my Angel
