It is time for these two individuals to be treated like grown men. They are both approaching 30 years of age and yet they live as the most pandered to and protected people in this nation. They are NOT ten year old children any more, they are MEN and it is high time their cloak of anonymity was thrown aside.
This ‘worldwide injunction’ against publicising their identities holds nothing with me for there are many countries where British law does NOT apply. In America for instance where their names CAN be published under protection of the 1st Amendment which protects ‘freedom of speech, expression and freedom of the press’.
I know there are countries where the long arm of British law can NOT be applied – if a bunch of Somalian savages can hold two British pensioners to ransom there with no threat at all from British law then who is to stop a blogger there, and other places, from publicising the new identities of Robert Thompson and Jon Venables…?
Let’s do it – let’s OUT them. British Law is not protecting US, it is protecting THEM!!!

Hugh, I just cannot for the life of me work out WHY the lives of these two particular individuals MATTER so much to the British authorities…fine, ok, I could understand them being protected when they were both still under the age of 16 (even though I would have taken a birch to the both of them…) but now they are approaching their thirties and have been given more opportunities to ‘make good’ with their lives than other disadvantaged kids. It seems no amount of anything positive was going to influence their lives in a proper way, these two decided their futures when they laid into that poor little boy. Now this one is throwing it all back into the face of society – and he is doing it without any fear or threat of consequences at all. The law seems determined to shield these two throughout their whole lives, I can see their identities being blown at some stage – just like when nobody in the media would dare publish a photo of a dying Princess Diana in the car crash for a long time then an Italian magazine went and did it not too long ago. They can only hide for a certain amount of time these days…
A recent pic of Jon Venables has been leaked on the net. If you ‘google’ his name you will see it. Apparently he would like to move to the USA or Australia!!
I have the photograph and a snapshot of the website where his identity was uncovered. Dan has a great blog for sure…
Think the name of the man who wrote ‘The Rainbow Connection’ for the Muppets with Venables birth-christian name in the middle…
I thought that website had since been closed down but not so when I tried it just now…
No doubt at all that it is him. I do not see him being released from prison for a very long time yet…they will be putting a new identity together for him. Waste of time I reckon – he will be exposed again…and again, and again.
