My eldest son and his girlfriend live in Germany and he is discovering entirely new traditions that go along with Xmas and one of them is the ritual of three days of food-celebration.

They have bought a rather large turkey – enough to feed ten people – and have been after a recipe as it is the first time for both of them cooking for a crowd. Of course he came to his Mum for help…

I have emailed them an uncomplicated method which should not get them into any trouble and gave them a link to good ol’ Delia Smith’s website should they need any visual aids. Delia and I both use a similar recipe – great minds think alike you see – so taking into account the size of the bird they have they should be looking at turkey leftover-recipes pretty soon!
