Everyone who knows me knows how much I love to read, I’ve been doing it since I was four and I always thank my mother for taking the time to teach me before I started school. It sure gave me a head start on the other kids. With so much time being spent looking at a computer screen these days many kids simply are not raised on a diet of good books anymore; I had my first library card at the age of six!
One of the best gifts you can give a child, in fact anyone really, is a nice and thoughtfully chosen selection of books. Everyone has a favourite topic/subject that interests them and it can safely be said that there is a book that suits everyone so why not consider next time a birthday or whatever comes around?
Relaxing down to enjoy a good quiet read is one of life’s little pleasures and we should all take time out to do this.
