Soya Keaveney and her baby-for-benefits: it’s time to make girls like this ‘jail bait’ again.

As she proudly displays her pregnant bulge for the cameras, fifteen year old Soya Keaveney smiles indulgently despite the fact that she is indicative of the mess that society is in. Not that she cares, nor her mother, because that baby she is carrying will get her an income she will not be bothered about earning, or who has to pay for it. Her mother, Janis, is overjoyed at the prospect of what the new addition to her fractured family will bring…a new and bigger council house for them to live in. What kind of mother would be in any way happy or proud that her under-aged daughter was proudly displaying the result of her promiscuous behaviour for all the world to see…?

Soya - taxpayer funded irresponsibility.

Answer: the kind of mother who saw nothing wrong with her seven year daughter going out in public dressed in mini skirts and a face caked in makeup, dressing suggestively at the age of twelve and heading off to nightclubs, ‘modelling’ in bikini’s before she was thirteen – sleeping with her boyfriend under her own roof. There used to be a term for young girls like Soya – ‘jail bait’. That’s what men used to call them, they don’t any more because males no longer go to prison for indulging in sex with girls under the age of consent. Certainly the father of Soya’s baby, seventeen year old Jake Gray, wont be hauled before the courts for statutory rape even though it remains a criminal offence to do what he has done.

Soya and her pathetic irresponsible mother are examples of how badly the UK welfare system needs a complete shake up. The smug smiles need to be wiped from the faces of young girls like Soya Keaveny and there needs to be real consequences for parents like Janis Keaveny who allow and even encourage their children to behave so recklessly.Instead of despairing and wishing her child was planning to do her A levels she is looking forward to the rewards that her child’s brattish behaviour will bring her…or so she hopes. Benefits and a bigger council house for her brood to inhabit – at OUR expense. This has got to stop. Time to make young males like Jake Gray responsible for their behaviour – let HIM get a job – two, three jobs if need be – and support his under-aged girlfriend and HIS baby himself. We taxpayers have had enough of people like them, the system must be torn down and rebuilt so that girls like Soya are not rewarded for their disgraceful arrogance and mothers like Janis Keaveny no longer believe it is great to be a ‘cool’ mother by allowing their children to dress and behave like little tarts.

This child featured on an episode of Supernanny ‘Jo Frosts Extreme Parental Guidance’ two years ago at the age of thirteen, showing off her skimpy clubbing outfits to the camera and all under the indulgent eye of her mother. Clearly no parental guidance has been a feature of this girl’s life – and sadly the thoughts that went through my mind at the time have turned out to be true. If she is old enough to model her pregnant belly, she is old enough to feel the shame she deserves – and should – feel. But I doubt it.

Six year old American ‘pageant queen’ Eden Wood: the most hideous thing about these child pageants is the mothers.

I thought Australian women – mothers – had a lot more sense than to buy into the hideous spectacle that is the American child ‘beauty’ pageant. You know them; those baby meat-parades where tiny little girls – toddlers, babies – are dressed up like Las Vegas showgirls and trained to vamp it up on a stage in front of a panel of adult judges. These events have moved far beyond the purposes for which their deluded, crazed mothers claim they exist. Little girls as young as four and as ‘mature’ as eight, are spray-tanned, botoxed, their teeth are bleached and capped, their hair is glued with extensions, they cannot eat until after they have ‘performed’ so their little bellies do not ‘stick out’ on stage. This is not about beauty, this not about fun – this is about child exploitation at it’s finest and it has been happening in America for years. Now they are trying to introduce it to Australians and the quest has been a rocky one indeed.

Smile babe - mommy has spent a fortune on this!

Six year old pageant veteran, Eden Wood, was taken to Australia by her mother Mickie to launch the ridiculously named Universal Royalty Beauty Pageant and the entire venture has fortunately failed. Little Eden, an idol for pageant mothers, was to have met her ‘fans’ after mothers paid $50 for their little girls to have a photo op with her. The child became the centre of a publicity tug of war between television current affairs shows, earned an easy $70,000 for her mother Mickie in the process, and then was swiftly spirited out of the country leaving scores of very disappointed mothers and children. Serves them right, for buying into this horrible phenomenon. The natural god-given beauty of childhood should never be put up for judging.

These pageants are not cheap to enter; the mothers spend hundreds to enter their children into a pageant and untold thousands buying the paraphernalia and transporting their children from town to town following the pageant trail. I see nothing beautiful about three year old girls strutting up and down a stage in make-up, high heels and a bikini to be judged by a panel of adult men and women, in fact it is hideous, and why any right-minded mother would allow her child to be paraded in such a way is beyond me. These money-making concerns serve only the pockets of the organisers and deluded dreams of the mothers. That is the most hideous thing of all.

Daniel Rees-Smith: the two year old whose life was traded for booze

Poor little Daniel. One wonders really how far he would have lasted beyond the age of two – the age at which he died – whilst he was stuck with the parents and grandmother he unfortunately had. Not very long I would suggest. Daniel was one of those children who were nothing but an inconvenience in the lives of the people who should have made him their whole world – but who instead dumped him wherever they could for the comfort of the local pub.

Above are Daniel’s parents, Andrew Marshall, Charlotte Rees-Smith and his grandmother Hilary Rees (centre) – yes guys, be ashamed – be VERY ashamed. Gran Hilary is an alcoholic and mum and dad preferred to down pints at the local rather than care for their child. Which is why two year old Daniel was one evening last year found face down in a scummy fish pond in Hilary Rees back garden. He had drowned after being dumped with Ms Rees so his parents could take off for the pub – Ms Rees proceeded to fall into a drunken stupor and passed out on the sofa. Little Daniel, nobody looking after him, wandered outside and drowned in the pond. This was not a one off either, the baby was frequently left with his cider-soaked grandmother and was to all intents a neglected child. That neglect – and his carers love of booze – killed him.

These three filthy, squalid individuals will not be seeing the inside of a prison as all have received suspended sentences which amount to a matter of weeks in all three cases. Three total idiots whose only sentence is the massive guilt they must bear for the rest of their useless lives – that their selfishness and lack of consideration killed their own baby. Free to get on with life, free to start breeding again no doubt. There has been no justice done here for this poor little boy, none at all. Alcoholism is a disease but it is no excuse for what they have done – and for those who hold that nicotine is the bigger evil of the two, here is yet more proof how booze can kill…when parents love it more than their own child.
