I cannot believe how fast our two months in France flashed by and now here we are, back in good ol’ Belfast – and so happy to be too. I well and truly have France out of my system and it will be a very long time, if ever, before Arnold can persuade me to set foot on gallic soil again. It suits some people, just not me – but I will always love and miss our home and business there, we spent six years in France and the memories will last forever. We had so many happy times – as well as not so happy times – but for me it will remain as a very significant and important phase in our lives because we had every minute of every waking day together as a family. Our youngest is five and, as he was born in France, he has had the bonus of being with his mum and dad every day of his life so far.
As he is starting school tomorrow we can honestly say we gave him all our time – we will never be regretting that we did not spend enough time with him or his brother. They have had the past five and a half years of our time – how many people, while also working hard, can beat that…?
