Are there places on earth to where you are not allowed to go on holiday…?

confusedtouristI assumed you were pretty much free to travel anywhere you wanted these days given that the Iron Curtain has come down long since – and so long as you were couragous and adventurous enough to want to see places that you would otherwise only see on the television news.

I had no idea though that Americans were not allowed to travel to Cuba and actually face perjury charges if they do; also if they happen to fall within the very narrow category of US citizens who CAN travel to Cuba they are not allowed to spend any money there – so they have to buy their Cuban cigars online if they want them badly enough. The travel restrictions require US citizens to have a license to go to Cuba – honestly, unless you really had to go there why would you go to all that bother…?

I understand also that these restrictions apply to US citizens who want to travel to Vietnam…apparently they cannot go there either. Weird…
