Gordon Brown could not have put it better when he privately called grandmother Gillian Duffy a ‘bigoted woman’ yesterday while on a visit to the town of Rochdale. Rochdale, by the way, is one of those many towns in Great Britain where you could walk down any street and take your pick of choosing which country on earth you could actually be in – you’d never know you were in a British town that’s for sure. Rochdale has an immigrant majority – the unpolitically correct way to say it is that Rochdale has been over-run by foreigners…but then I’d be called a bigot for saying that and – well – go ahead and call me that then, dosen’t bother me. Because Rochdale HAS been over-run by foreigners and is only one example of the proof that what Gordon Brown tells us with regard to immigration into the UK completely differs to the truth.
This is a town where the local school – Heybrook Primary - has a total of 453 pupils, all of whom are not British and only speak English as a foreign language. Immigration is no doubt a serious issue for this town; special housing programmes have been implemented costing millions to accommodate the growing numbers of Afghani, Iraqi, African and other foreign national asylum seekers – this does not include the thousands of Polish and other eastern Europeans arriving in Rochdale looking for jobs which offer long hours and cheap pay, they need houses to live in and of course they will be given council housing paid for by the taxpayer. Mrs Gillian Duffy simply enquired, when she met Gordon Brown yesterday in Rochdale, about why so many migrants were allowed to ‘flock in’ when resources were so stretched. Brown smiled – as they do – shook her hand and got into his car where he proceeded to complain about Mrs Duffy’s questions and called her ‘just a bigoted woman’. She’s not bigoted Mr Brown – she is correct, absolutely spot on. Why ARE so many migrants allowed to flock in from anywhere…? when his comments in the car were accidentally picked up and recorded by SKY this was his reaction when they were played back to him an hour later in a radio studio…
Oh what a gaffe eh Gordy…? and at a time like this when you only have a week to go. Gordon Brown has failed to take on board in a serious manner the concerns the British people have about the high numbers of foreign people arriving in the UK and who end up supported by the taxpayers. To have an entire school of almost 500 kids who don’t speak English… the drain on resources would be enormous – translators, specific dietary needs alone, support staff. All paid for by…you guessed it – not the migrants that’s for sure. Eastern Europeans are not counted as migrants, which is correct, as they have the right to settle in the UK as EU citizens however well over a million have arrived since 2004 when the Govt estimated only 13,000 a year would come here and more continue to arrive, many from illiterate impoverished nations such as Bulgaria, Romania and Latvia.
So to criticise this makes one a bigot…? in Gordon Brown’s eyes, yes. In the eyes of anyone who wants to see the rights of British people diminished in their own country, yes, and now at least you know what this labour party think of how you feel about seeing the future of your country disappearing down the road of multi-culturalism, multi-lingualism and multi-nationalism. We are supposed to like it or lump it – now we are telling you, Gordon Brown, how we feel and that you do the same thing.
