Grandmother Gillian Duffy is no bigot – she spoke for more people than Gordon Brown wants to believe.

Gordon Brown could not have put it better when he privately called grandmother Gillian Duffy a ‘bigoted woman’ yesterday while on a visit to the town of Rochdale. Rochdale, by the way, is one of those many towns in Great Britain where you could walk down any street and take your pick of choosing which country on earth you could actually be in – you’d never know you were in a British town that’s for sure. Rochdale has an immigrant majority – the unpolitically correct way to say it is that Rochdale has been over-run by foreigners…but then I’d be called a bigot for saying that and – well – go ahead and call me that then, dosen’t bother me. Because Rochdale HAS been over-run by foreigners and is only one example of the proof that what Gordon Brown tells us with regard to immigration into the UK completely differs to the truth.

This is a town where the local school – Heybrook Primary - has a total of 453 pupils, all of whom are not British and only speak English as a foreign language. Immigration is no doubt a serious issue for this town; special housing programmes have been implemented costing millions to accommodate the growing numbers of Afghani, Iraqi, African and other foreign national asylum seekers – this does not include the thousands of Polish and other eastern Europeans arriving in Rochdale looking for jobs which offer long hours and cheap pay, they need houses to live in and of course they will be given council housing paid for by the taxpayer. Mrs Gillian Duffy simply enquired, when she met Gordon Brown yesterday in Rochdale, about why so many migrants were allowed to ‘flock in’ when resources were so stretched. Brown smiled – as they do – shook her hand and got into his car where he proceeded to complain about Mrs Duffy’s questions and called her ‘just a bigoted woman’. She’s not bigoted Mr Brown – she is correct, absolutely spot on. Why ARE so many migrants allowed to flock in from anywhere…? when his comments in the car were accidentally picked up and recorded by SKY this was his reaction when they were played back to him an hour later in a radio studio…

Oh what a gaffe eh Gordy…? and at a time like this when you only have a week to go. Gordon Brown has failed to take on board in a serious manner the concerns the British people have about the high numbers of foreign people arriving in the UK and who end up supported by the taxpayers. To have an entire school of almost 500 kids who don’t speak English… the drain on resources would be enormous – translators, specific dietary needs alone, support staff. All paid for by…you guessed it – not the migrants that’s for sure. Eastern Europeans are not counted as migrants, which is correct, as they have the right to settle in the UK as EU citizens however well over a million have arrived since 2004 when the Govt estimated only 13,000 a year would come here and more continue to arrive, many from illiterate impoverished nations such as Bulgaria, Romania and Latvia.

So to criticise this makes one a bigot…? in Gordon Brown’s eyes, yes. In the eyes of anyone who wants to see the rights of British people diminished in their own country, yes, and now at least you know what this labour party think of how you feel about seeing the future of your country disappearing down the road of multi-culturalism, multi-lingualism and multi-nationalism.  We are supposed to like it or lump it – now we are telling you, Gordon Brown, how we feel and that you do the same thing.

Yes John Cleese, you and your young girlfriend are ridiculous

Old men like John Cleese make me laugh, but for different reasons. After the legendary comic actor has only just come through a very bitter and extremely expensive divorce from his witch of an ex-wife and complaining about it, this stupid man is now boasting that he is now very cosy with a new girlfriend…31 years his junior. This one was a mere five years old while Basil Fawlty was tossing poor Manuel around the hotel. But of course old men never fall for women 31 years OLDER than them do they…?

What is it with deluded old fools like John Cleese…? when they parade themselves in public with these young women, who are often younger than their own daughters – which makes your tummy turn slightly – do they really think that we are wondering just how on earth men like him DO IT…? no we are not, because we know – we women that is – just what those young women like his new girlfriend, Jennifer Wade, are out for at the end of the day. Yes, these silly rich old fools gloat and act smug about how they can still pull the young birds but then whinge about how nasty the female species is when they take them for every penny they can get once his wrinkles and his regular need for viagra bores the ‘young bird’ witless…

Who is fooling who here?  the young bird is after the old codger’s money and the old geezer is after the token young bird on his arm and in his bed. If he wants it then by god he has to be prepared to pay out for it.  Cleese, like all men his age, are conceited old fools, if they had no money the young women would not look at them twice. Honestly, who would???

There should be a law; anyone younger than your own daughter is off limits!

BGT’s Christopher Stone: the talented singer who will see success as the best revenge.

They say the best way to get revenge is to be successful. Britain’s Got Talent singer Christopher Stone will certainly be doing just that after his surprising performance on the show last Saturday night. Christopher is a 29 year old accountant and endured a living hell for five years at the hands of bullying thugs during his school days. Such people are threatened by those who are higher up the evolutionary tree than they are, who have talent and passion for something – there are countless kids who share Christopher’s experiences, I hope they saw him the other night and felt reassured that they too have the potential for greatness lying within them.

It just takes having the confidence in yourself to take those first steps. I did not agree with Simon Cowell’s assessment of Chris; yes the guy was nervous, naturally, but as far as I could see it did not affect his voice in any way. Chris sang a notoriously difficult piece – Maria from West Side Story – and he carried it off exceptionally well. Leonard Bernstein is the composer of this piece, the whole show in fact, and always claimed it was his personal favourite; there are fine nuances written into the phrasing of Maria which I thought Chris picked up on and conveyed as well as any professional singer I have heard perform this song. Okay, so he did not go for the big high C at the climax but a little more confidence in his skills as a singer as well as some expert training and I can see Christopher becoming quite a performer.

My only hope at this stage is that he chooses his second round song very, very carefully and stays within his range and sticks to what he knows he can do – I recall what the producers did to sabotage Greg Pritchard’s performance in the final last year by choosing that dreadful Barcelona song and it was wrong on so many levels. Good luck Chris – I’m a fan already!
