Botox for Barbie!

oldbarbieGee that’s creepy – nobody ever said that old age was written in for Barbie – now there’s a wake-up call if ever there was one! once this blonde-Californian babe starts going grey and sagging round the sides we can all start to worry…

No chance eh? I have been noticing though that the botox thing has really become such a part of our culture now, despite radical new treatment like argireline, and it is being used just as people get their teeth done. Even the local salons are not offering botox clinics to local ladies – haven’t seen any frozen faces around Tesco lately but I am sure there’s botox out there somewhere in suburbia.

For Russell Crowe fans…

I have always liked Russell Crowe as an actor – not just because he hails from Australia (actually he was born a Kiwi…) but due to the fact that he has developed into a very fine dramatic actor over the years. His performance in A Beautiful Mind was stunning. But okay I’ll cut to the quick; if you guys like him here is a pic of his very first stage appearance back in Australia…

russcrowe

He is a skinny runt eh…? he is appearing in a production of Bad Boy Johnny which was written by Daniel Abineri of Return to Eden fame which is currently enjoying a re-run (on CBS Drama channel) some 25 years later. He only lasted a few performances because he could not sign that well…here he is in 2000 as we know him better…

GLADIATOR

Yep, this is Russ after he has obviously rubbed quite a lot of testosterone cream all over himself- certainly got him the results he needed !

How much would you spend on a dress…?

The media has been buzzing with the news of the suicide of the fashion designer Alexander McQueen over a week ago. Very sad – a relatively young man with talent to burn and yet so obsessively morose over the death of his mother that he kills himself…there’s something deeply wrong with that I am sure.

Now his designs are selling like hotcakes and at very inflated prices too – is this what happens when designers die…? their wares become more desirable?? there are many great designers out there such as Michael Kors and…well I’m not sure really of many others because I don’t follow fashion as a rule. Well you cannot really when you are not built like a ten year old boy…
