Isn’t it always the way…? the main thing is though I do get to lie in each morning for a whole week so that is a bonus before anything else. But I’m raging because there is so much to do and see around Belfast today – the whole next week in fact – and it is raining today.

If you’ve been to Belfast previously you might find it all a bit different should you make a return visit; hotels and an assortment of steel buildings are popping up all over the place as progress makes it’s presence felt in Northern Ireland. Tourists are coming in droves and it is great to see the open topped tour buses carrying visitors around the outer lying areas of the city seeing the sights.

But today…what to do. It looks as though it will be indoor stuff today so maybe a trip to Odyssey for a movie with the kids – we saw ‘Up’ two weeks ago and loved it – also a tour around the reopened City Hall as well because they are showing free films for the kids. One definite is the Linenhall Library in the city as I want to take out a membership and get one for my son as an early Xmas present…and they have a great cafe as well.
