Grandma Jackson gets the kids so let’s pray for them – they will need it

I reckon those kids of Micheal Jackson are well on they way to ‘oddsville’ and now the journey will be made easier by the fact that Granny Jackson has won custody of them. You have to admire that Debbie Rowe person…what a shining example of motherhood eh?

But sorry, those kids look weird to me especially that girl who looks just like her mother – very blank faced and definitely something about the eyes…

I wonder what will become of them – I only hope that they don’t go the same way as all the Jackson’s (Granny included) and end up with cosmetically messed up faces courtesy of the Jackson family plastic surgeons. They all have the same nose!

No lessons learned and another tiny baby dies from abuse in the UK

I am just convinced that the United Kingdom these days breeds a particularly deplorable type of female; one who breeds with any useless drop-kick who looks at her and then proceeds to team up with her ‘partner’ to make her baby’s life a total misery until he/she dies.

That is what happened with baby Peter Connolly and his dirt-bag ‘mother’ Tracey Connolly. It has now happened again with the death of a four month old baby boy last week; his mother is just seventeen and her ‘partner’ is nineteen. Both have been arrested for the child’s abuse and death.

This girl was on one of those programmes that, sadly, are so necessary now – one to assist useless young females in being decent mothers. They know how to get pregnant though – no need for advice there – but as for looking after the baby they drag into this world they just have no idea. I’m old fashioned and pretty hardline in this matter; I say take the baby off them at birth – reintroduce some standards, become judgemental again like social workers use to be. Certainly it is not hard to pick these females who just are not cut out for motherhood – just one look at the boyfriends they have is worth a million words in most cases.

How sickening; just where has human instinct gone that we need to be shown how to care for our own children. Seventeen year olds should not be allowed custody of a baby…fullstop. Let’s start thinking about the children for a change.

Just give me a beach and I’m happy

The one thing I never got to do during our six years of living here in the south of France was having the time to enjoy a trip to the beach for some sunbaking and swimming. Yep, that’s right, almost six years of living and working here and not once did I get to even dip my toes in the Med. Of course I blame the hotel as it took up so much of our time; whenever we felt the need for s serious swim we either had rooms to prepare, admin to complete or guests arriving – or a zillion other things getting in the way.

This week that all changed.

Last Monday and today I managed some serious sunbaking and now sport a nicely tanned bod, a bit pink in some areas but what the heck, I’m an Aussie girl and I need the sun and the surf! the Med is not a patch on our beaches north of Sydney – no surf to catch waves (certainly not what I call surf anyway…) and the sand is a grey/dirty type of silt that turns to mud on you when you get wet.

But the water was salty, the sun was hot and I felt like I was in paradise lying on my towel today. I am a person who really needs to be in water, I’ve been swimming since I was 18 months old and have missed it these past few years. Plus living in Northern Ireland means the weather is not really ‘beach weather’. I feel great and intend to hit the beach every week until we leave here in a few weeks time…I deserve it and I am going to make the most of it.
