Children attacking children: the problem of feral kids in the UK today

Two mothers tonight are no doubt distraught and at a loss to know why their two sons, aged nine and ten, were viciously attacked by two other boys…aged ten and eleven. One boy, nine, has shocking injuries and the ten year old has life threatening head injuries and is fighting for his young life in hospital.

What is it with kids these days…? why do young children pose such a dangerous threat…? to be honest I find boys aged 12 a much more frightening option to face than a weird man sitting next to me on a bus or train. Someone like that at least has some idea of consequences – kids now have absolutely no fear at all.

They carry knives and guns the way we carried dolls and toy trucks just one generation ago. They would stick that knife into you just as fast as look at you – no conscience at all, no sense of right or wrong…and no fear whatsoever of being punished.

Because they are not punished.

One woman who knows exactly what the parents of those boys will be going through is Denise Fergus, the mother of murdered toddler James Bulger. She will know how the will be asking themselves the same questions she asked – “why…how...”

Kids these days have plenty of inspiration however; the internet and it’s limitless access to any horror available – video games full of murder, blood and gore – DVD’s – television…never before has the sadistic side of the human race been so catered for and indulged. And our kids are being fed and raised on this diet of hatred and bloodlust.

As the ages of these violent criminals gets lower the legal age for responsibility stays the same – ten years old. It needs to be lowered in order for these monsters to be properly dealt with – and without the kid gloves.

The police stated that questioning the two young would-be killers would be a ‘delicate procedure’ – of course it will. They will know their rights and they will be treated as the victims while the real victims will be left with nothing. We will be fed sob stories about their upbringing and how they spend all their time playing games like Grand Auto Theft Four and a very expensive legal team – procured from the European Courts – will fight tooth and nail to ensure they don’t pay for their crimes but instead get placed in a nice place where they can do ‘therapy’.

And their victims will get nothing. Ask Denise Fergus – she has been there and done that, her son’s killers have new lives…her two year old baby boy that they killed just lies in his grave.

Tony Sheldon meets the West End – at last!

I am not in the business of making incredible predictions but this time I will stick my neck right out and do so. And I challenge anyone to disagree!

The stage version of the multi-award winning Australian film - Priscilla, Queen of the Desert the Musical – has premiered at the Palace Theatre on London’s West End with a legend and icon of the Australian stage making his West End debut in the role of trans-sexual Bernadette…Tony Sheldon.

Tony is a true child of the showbusiness industry and has long been an established performer of a very diverse range of roles in Australia. In the 1980′s his portrayal of the unsinkable female impersonator, Arnold, in the play Torch Song Trilogy established him as an actor of deep insight and remarkable ability. Why it has taken so long for him to gain international recognition is completely beyond me – but no doubt London will very soon be buzzing with excitement about this supremely talented artist.

Tony has lived a life steeped in showbiz being the child of Frank Sheldon and the brilliant musical performer Toni Lamond - he is also the nephew of Helen Reddy. I am really excited that he is now going to be seen on stage by people from all over the world who attend this show on the West End – I met Tony at a function at the Sydney Opera House in 1992 and he is really is the most down to earth and genuinely charming man.

And now this great talent is getting the recognition he so deserves.

McCanns re-enact the night Madeline went missing – is it too late.

Two years after the British child, Madeline McCann, disappeared from her parents’ holiday apartment on May 3rd 2007 no-one is any closer to knowing what has happened to the little girl.

It is as if she vanished into thin air leaving not even a wisp of hair or a smattering of DNA to suggest who took her – depending on whether you believe the McCanns or the Portuguese police forensic team…

I don’t think you need to be Sherlock Holmes to work it out that whoever took the child was only able to do so by having knowledge of Kate and Gerry’s exact movements and whereabouts that evening – by being aware of how long they took to check up on the children and how long it would be until they returned to the apartment.

Someone, some persons, who were able to monitor the McCanns at very close range.

Over a year ago the Portuguese police requested the McCanns and their friends, the Tapas Nine, return to Praia da Luz and take part in an official reconstruction of the night of May 3rd. They refused. Now Gerry McCann is in Praia da Luz participating in a filmed reconstruction for Channel Four almost two years after the event – this is being done in the hope it will jog peoples memories of that night.

I doubt it will. I would say that anyone there that night two years ago would have racked their brains in order to help find Madeline, just what use is going over everything two years later when memories and recollections may have dimmed in that time?

Locals in Praia da Luz have not welcomed Gerry back or applauded this film project. They blame the McCanns for lost earnings, lost jobs and basically alot of very bad publicity for their once very popular area. I feel sorry for the McCanns and even more sorry for poor Madeline, but I feel this reconstruction is being done too late.

Update: 07/05

Having watched the documentary/reconstruction this evening I am now feeling quite positive for the McCanns and for Madeline. Now that the investigation has been taken out of the bumbling and inept hands of the Portuguese police, the evidence that those Keystone Cops refused to divulge can now be brought out into the open and used to actually do something. It is unbelievable how much information was kept from the being reported to the public – with a very credible new suspect now being sought.

And one thing; wouldn’t it be nice if the British public could show the rest of the world that they support this couple instead of slagging them off and being totally miserable about anything to do with Madeline.  It makes the Brit’s look very, very bad.

Fingers crossed that Madeline is found soon :)
