Join the queue for a cash advance – everyone else is

If you are feeling the effects of the current world-wide credit crunch then you will probably need to get to the back of the very long queue. It just goes to show though that when we live our lives almost solely dependent on credit how much the fluctuations in interest rates can affect ordinary people.

Companies such as Complete Loan Source are doing a roaring trade right now in bailing people out of trouble by providing that much needed Cash Advance when their wages just fail to stretch from one week/month to the next.

Many people find their services come in handy especially when emergencies come up and require a super Fast Cash Advance. Just consider this: 50 per cent of Brit’s have not been to a dentist in over two years and cannot afford to pay a private dentist. So what happens when one of the kids needs a filling or an abcess looked at all of a sudden…?

Maintaining a regular cash flow has just become too difficult these days and as a result more people need to go into debt just to make emergency-ends meet. A sign of the times for sure – but where will it end?

Don’t you just hate the process of selling a house?

I do, I hate it with a vengeance. From the time you put up the For Sale sign you seem to live life on the edge. You never know when someone is going to request a viewing so you have to keep on the tip of your toes and try to keep the place looking as tidy as possible. Try doing such a thing with five kids sharing your living space…and in school holidays!

And then there are the prospective buyers themselves. We prefer to take a backseat position when they arrive and allow the agent to do the promoting and showing around – well, that’s what we are paying them commission for – right?

But you do your best to judge from their body language whether they are interested or not, or whether they are just those dreaded and annoying sightseers – Oh, we aren’t ready to buy just yet we are just having a look at what’s around…

Anyway the game continues and after a year on the market we are wondering whether we are ever going to get out of this place. I just do not know how long I can keep up this pretence of maintaining a perfectly pristine house seven days a week – it’s killing me!

Remember when clogs were in fashion?

I certainly do. In Australia, in the mid-70′s, most women and even little girls (such as I was then) bought into the new trend and clomped around in these wooden clogs that came in all colours and designs. Thinking back I cannot really say that they were all that comfortable and thankfully such a trend has not returned.

However, here in Europe they certainly serve a purpose as I have noticed that people use them for work purposes; on farms and the like and not just in Holland. This style of footwear is available as well in the US and if you need a pair of comfy clogs in the new modern design then check out Dansko.

They are rubber-soled these days so that you don’t sound like a cart horse clopping down the street :)
