Well, that’s another two weeks school holidays over for now but I’m not relaxing as next month there is the easter break to go yet. I’m sure I never had these many days off when I was going to school!

Of course this all means that a whole new collection of things will be needed for Monday; colouring pencils, books, socks and those old fashioned things…pens. Remember those? These days the kids are more attuned to a keyboard than a pen but I well remember my collection of bic pens from my schooldays. We even were able to buy them bulk at school as part of fundraising ( the school was always fundraising ) and we could have our own names monogrammed onto them. You would think that would have stopped then getting pinched…but no. At the start of each term I would be packing a whole new collection of the things.

My partner has had the same pen since he was 10 years old for writing his diary…now that’s got to be a record!
