Bed and Breakfast in Paris

If you are travelling around France, and want to see and experience France from ‘the inside,’ then we wholly recommend you bypass the hotels and book your accommodation instead utilising the bed and breakfast industry here. The French do bed and breakfast in an entirely different way to the rest of the world in that you not only sleep in their home, but you also dine and socialize with the family.

This is the perfect way to discover France. Are you considering a visit to Paris?…then I suggest you follow our advice and take Bed and Breakfast Paris style as the only option. Your hosts will know all there is to know about the ‘City of Lights’; where to shop and where to eat; should you relax in the Luxembourg Gardens or a chic cafe?.Why? because they are Parisians themselves, and no-one but Parisians know Paris better.

Family History Interests

To all those who have dropped by here for the subject of genealogy, I now have a new site for you to visit and link to: If you are researching the name of Hamilton(Co Donegal Ireland) then click on the link where it will take you to my new site.

If you are looking to research  the Stewart name relating to the family of County Tyrone then follow the same link or visit Stewart Family History. There you will find, on both sites, info relating to the Hamilton’s of Brownhall Co. Donegal Ireland, and also the Stewarts of Killymoon, Co. Tyrone. Both families are linked by marriage.

How the English Won

OK, so the English rugby team have won a place in the big final of the Rugby World Cup after defeating France last night in the semi-final in Paris. It was a brilliant match full of excitement but with an outcome that I have come to expect. Namely, the English side won through penalties again, not through scoring tries. Wilkinson and his boot got the side through, not the rest of the team. Just ask the Australians.

I have slight issues with games like these being won purely from penalty goals, not from the skill of a teams attack efforts in scoring tries. It seems all they have to do is ‘goad’ the opposition enough into making mistakes, in full reach of an easy goal kick, and the points are theirs. I suspect the Poms had the Wallabies all sussed out the week before; annoy them enough and they will retaliate and defer. Easy enough…the Poms annoy us Aussies no end, both on the football field and off.

The game last night was exciting, but, it is a bit of an anticlimax to me when the only points scored are from penalty kicks. I have some words of advice to the winner of the next semi-final: wipe the ground with those Poms!.
