The inquest into the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, has finally begun in London but I cannot help but feel this is going to tell us at the end what we already really know. That she died, along with Dodi Al Fayed and Henri Paul, as the result of a tragic accident. I hope, at least, that it puts paid to some of the more ridiculous conspiracy theories that have been flying around for the past decade. I also hope that there is more input into investigating the Al Fayed organisation of that nights events because I feel it has been largely ignored. Yes Mr Al Fayed Snr lost a son, but if you remember as I do, media articles were printed about Dodi during those 6 weeks he spent with Diana and the picture they all painted was not a glowing one of Mr`Al Fayed Snr or Jnr.
Al fayed Jnr (Dodi) had tried his hand at many ventures in order to impress his father namely procuding Hollywood films. He was also a known taker of and dealer in drugs. He had many American connections who spoke out about his lifestyle and even his own father was on paper as always referring to him as ‘the boy’. Al Fayed Snr, meantime, was desperately trying to ingratiate himself with the British Establishment and not succeeding. Even purchasing Harrods and a stately English country pile did not work and make him ‘one of them’.
And then along came Diana. What better way to impress the world than to see his son hook up with the most famous woman on the planet?…what better way to say ‘up yours’ to the British than to secure the Princess of Wales as a member of his own family?. So daddy Fayed told his son to 1)get going and 2)get her!.
Lets face it; Dodi tried. But remember they were only running around together for at the most 6 weeks from start to finish and from the look of the pace they led I doubt Di even had time to buy a pregnancy test…so why those rumours?.
Because daddy Al Fayed says so. HE wanted them to be engaged so he says they were to be engaged. HE wanted her to have a child to Dodi so he claims she was pregnant…how the hell would he know in the first place!!. They had only known each other for 48 days and Diana’s closest friend Rosa Monkton attested that Diana had her period during that six week time. She had been with her at the time.
I certainly believe that Paul drove too fast and it was stupid. To have spent 6 weeks flaunting themselves on a boat at sea in front of the worlds media and then to try and escape all that same media on one particular night after a simple meal was just plain irresponsible. On all accounts, especially Diana’s and particularly Dodi’s. A photo op was all they wanted and there was no need to outrun the cameras. That was not Diana’s game, she never outran the camera’s in her life. Except that one night. When Dodi was calling the shots. He called the shots that killed them, not the Royal Family, not the CIA or MI6. Just stupidity, his inexperience with Diana-mania and irresponsibilty.
High speed + no seat belt + collision = certain death. Simple.
